Oh, the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgments and how inscrutable his ways! “For who has known the mind of the Lord, or who has been his counselor? Ex Libris: The Great Influenza

Whether you call it Swine Flu or H1N1, the latest influenza pandemic is a source of concern for most people. That is what led me to read John M. Barry’s book on the so-called Spanish Flu pandemic of 1918.
